The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Middle Tennessee announced in their June membership meeting that BACAR Constructors has achieved the platinum level of ABC's prestigious Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Program.

To achieve ABC's STEP platinum level, among other requirements, a company must have a total recordable incident rate at least 25 percent below the industry average in one of the past three years, submit their official U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health form on work-related injuries and illnesses for review, and secure a declaration from their insurance company that supports the company's STEP self evaluation score. "It truly is an honor and a privilege to be able to recognize BACAR Constructors for their continued dedication to providing training and safe workplaces for their employees," said ABC President and CEO Kirk Pickerel.

Also at the ABC Middle Tennessee's June membership meeting, BACAR Constructors received the Outstanding Safety Performance Award by a General Contractor in Division V. The Mid-Tennessee Chapter Safety Awards competition is an annual contest designed to recognize members for their dedication to safe jobsites. Among other things this award recognized that BACAR had a Zero Incident Safety Rate.
